Breakfast and the synthesis of opposites

Breakfast today was Horizon organic milk with Froot Loops. There is something wrong in this picture.

On the other hand, perhaps not. It can be interpreted as the visible synthesis of the organic and the unnatural, a symbolic first step in the ever-closer relationship between man and machine, and so it is a deeply relevant cultural commentary.

On the third hand, that sounds very pretentious. Perhaps the organic milk is slowly turning me into a postmodernist critic.

On the fourth hand, where did I get so many hands? That's the side effect of eating Froot Loops.

You know, if I were to balance the health benefits of organic milk vs the side effects of fruit loops, I don't think I would have chosen that mixture. Perhaps nice yummy organic blue corn flakes with non-organic rBGH treated milk? They have that ever so wrong blue color that food should not be (much like Froot Loops), and yet they're all organic. I'm glad to hear you are sprouting new limbs, though. You can never have too many hands on hand.

Well, it depends on your reason for eating that combination. If you like the way they taste together, or derive some sick pleasure from contaminating happy organic milk with Toxic Waste Loops, then go right ahead. If you were trying to make your unhealthy food a little more healthy, or your healthy food a little more unhealthy for balance purposes, then you've got a good motive, but there are safer ways than mixing those things (like blue corn flakes). Froot Loops is not a toy and should not be played with frivolously.

If that's all you had to eat, then you need to go grocery shopping, my friend.

And don't worry about the extra hands; I hear hand donors are quite in demand nowadays. ^_^
