kaidevis's recent poll, a question I once asked a friend of mine when we were silghtly inebriated:What is a question whose answer you've always wanted to know?
Now... say you could have the answer to that question revealed to you, but the revelation would be transient: After a moment's epiphany, you would only remember having once known the answer, but not the answer itself. Would you want this?

I suppose the only time I specifically wouldn't want to know the answer to a question is if I thought that getting the answer was 'cheating' somehow. Mysteries and games are much less fun if you know exactly how things will unfold and turn out - unless the path itself remains a mystery.
