What a lovely way for a game to end:

zunger-Arc-Hum-Mal-Neu died in The Dungeons of Doom on level 5. Killed by a little dog, while helpless.


I think it's a sign that the game is trying to not just kill, but humiliate.

Yeah, you'd take a point or two of evil if you did so. But only if it's your pet... Much worse for you to *eat* your little dog.

Nethack gives new meaning to "sadistic" . . . I thought this had been established. ;)
