Speaking of eating... I remember that Gregory Nazianzen said, "with measured words I learn to bridle rage." This really helped out one of his students who was sentenced to be thrown to the lions; although his anger at his treatment at first knew no bounds, he calmed himself, and was promptly disgorged.
Argh. Now I'm tempted to cheat and go grab the spider robinson books from upstairs cause I know there's a whole ton of these in them, and I'm horrible at coming up with them.:)
There's an old drunken game that involves trying to continue the "dis-" jokes as long as possible, with basically the same rules as the Question Game from Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. Much beloved by Spider Robinson fans. So for instance, a fired ambassador may find himself disconsolate...
